About Anna's Birth

Baby’s Name and Birthday: Anna B. Brenneman                  July 11, 2011

Parent’s Name: Ben & Lydia Brenneman        1st baby

Why did you choose to have your baby at home?

Because our doctor who was going to do the delivery went on a vacation.

Describe your labor and birth.

I got up at 2:30 to go to the bathroom then my water broke and 15 min. later contractions started. We were very glad to have Laurie here by the time she came and also that Patrice and Amanda got here in time. You did a very good job fanning and keeping a cool rag on me which helped a lot. I was glad that I had time to rest between contractions when I was pushing. And at 7:38 our baby girl was born. She got checked out very good. It was worth all the effort.

What was your favorite part of your baby’s birth?

Once the baby was born and I could hold and nurse our sweet little baby girl.

What would you do differently if you had another baby?

The only thing I can think of is that we wouldn’t even start seeing a doctor for pregnancy checkups and so on, we’d just get the midwives from Full Circle Midwifery.

How can we improve our services?

I don’t know how you can improve your service. You did a Wonderful Job!!
